Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia after Tallinn, but it is the oldest in the Baltics as it was mentioned first in the year 1030.
Tartu has played a very important role in the development of the Estonian culture- first local university, first newspapers, first national theater and our first National Song Festival.
Tartu is often considered the intellectual centre of the country.
Tartu has been in ruins many times, which is why the buildings in the city aren’t that old: buildings that have been constructed earlier than in the last quarter of the 18th century can rarely be found.

Day tour includes:
  • Private car with English speaking driver throughout the day with pick up from the hotel in Tallinn
  • Tartu city 2h tour with English speaking guide
