Kohtla-Nõmme has one of the most unique museums in Estonia- an underground mining museum where you can act just like miners back in the days. At the museum, equipped with a miner’s helmet, lamp and clothing, it is possible to take a look at miner’s work places, the former underground mining technology, the miner’s train and the explosive storage.

Sillamäe is a small town in Ida-Virumaa that once was closed to public because of the uranium concentration plant which was built there. Today, we have the possibility to examine the buildings from the post-war period of Stalin, classical avenues and museums. Vaivara village is home to the Blue Hills Museum which exhibits the remnants of the battles held on the Narva River and in the Blue Hills in 1944.

Valaste Waterfall, located at the Ontika limestone cliff, is more than 30m high, making it the highest waterfall in Estonia. The waterfall can be admired from the side as well, which offers a lovely view of the layers formed in 400,000 million years.
