Spend a day on the Naissaar island seeing its historical military buildings, diverse nature, old sea mines, old church and sandy beaches. Naissaar is an island just across the sea, in about 18 km distance from Tallinn. Although it is so close to the capital, the seasons still change later than in other parts of Estonia. That's not the only interesting thing about the island. You can enjoy its sunny beaches having a sight to Tallinns skyline at the same time. A guide takes you to an artillery battery dating back to the Russian empire, a mine factory from the Soviet times, Paradise Beach (Paradiisirand), Storbyn (Lõunaküla), an old wooden church and a lighthouse. As the infrastructure of the island isn't developed yet, part of the tour takes place on the partly functioning train service and military trucks (from Soviet times).
